This weekend three members of Little Berlin, Alex Gartelmann, Kristen Neville-Taylor and Beth Heinly will be participating in an art exhibit, The South Philadelphia Boat Show. This will be the first exhibit in a NEW and exciting space contrary to it’s name, STORAGE, located at 1414 Darien St. (in between and 8th and 9th on Reed). 1pm-7pm
Music and some beer provided. I’m totally into BYOB art openings.
And this is an opening..the artwork in thus show will only be on view this Saturday and Sunday, it is a boat show.
All the artwork in this exhibit is influenced by all things nautical and artists. I expect to see the horizon will be blurred or not. Like most first art shows in a new space the concept is open and all are invited. This is a rare chance to see all types of artists under the philly sun together making art under a single goal, boats and things seen from boats. Or maybe not, but that’s art. A much needed vacation from the standard, this show will rock your boat.
Based on the formidable gathering STORAGE founders Jake Kehs and Preston Link, co-curator Gabriel Boyce put together, this is an address I’m sure to remember. Plus, they’re my friends. RIDE YOUR BIKE!
