Yes, there will be cake and booze and booze in cake, of “course”. This Saturday, August 15th, it all starts at 8pm. Please feel free to bring Julia Child’s spirit alive by wearing an apron or anything else french. Most importantly will be the chant/music performance by Blood Like Mine and Niagara Falls. I have had the pleasure to see both of these bands live and in a backyard. Sun permitting, you will too. FYI, rain or shine event, we have a roof.
Blood Like Mine is comprised of musicians Rosali Middleman&Geoff Bucknam.

Rosali has a voice that could raise the dead, but they would be zombies of love and entirely under her command. Geoff is a prolific musician being an essential member to at least three bands, I know of, Free Energy, Niagra Falls and Blood Like Mine. In Geoff’s living room he has a painted portrait of a man in a white suit surrounded by music styled in a Futuristic vain. I cannot remember who he told me made this awesome portrait,(please comment to all who remember) but I recall asking who is that and he said, “That’s me.”.
Niagara Falls has four members, Norman Fetter, Sam Cusumano, Noah Levey and Geoff Bucknam.

This band has been referred to as psych/folk many times. If you need a category that will definitely help, but much like the opening track on their Sequence of Prophets album, “Flatlands“, try to imagine yourself as a single drawn point being elevated into a third dimension. Now being that we are living in the third dimension, try imagining there being three more of those along with three separate
universes and each universe has several probabilities leading to destruction. That’s my experience listening to Niagara Falls.
To close off the evening Niagara Falls’ Sam Cusumano has organized a communal score comprised of circuit bended children’s toys, which will be provided for all who wish to participate. Here is what Sam sent me via email about Niagara Falls and the last performance:
“
Delay: the time difference between a sonic event and its perception at the listening position (compression waves traveling through space are delayed according to the distance of travel). spaciousness is perceived in the delay between the arrival of direct and reflected sounds (larger spaces cause longer delays).
disparate audible output devices will be deployed throughout the Little Berlin showspace. utilizing an array of analogue and digital delays, musical signals will be routed across the installation generating conflicting aural perceptions in attempt to disrupt virtual cognitive spaces within the mind of the listener. changes in physical orientation of the listener will cause further warping of the listener’s perception of the sound source, as well as the size and shape of the space itself.
also on display for discussion and interaction will be a series of modified electronic instruments by Sam Cusumano (pileofgirls), which are themselves a sonic confusion between horrific soundscapes and innocent children’s toys.
What’s that like? Here is a video courtesy Mark Schoneveld from his site, The Poverty Jet Set. Also check out his sweet tumblr site, yvynyl.
LASTLY, We will be projecting Julia Child’s, The French Chef.

I’ve been looking everywhere for music from Blood Like Mine. However, I have not been able to find any of their songs anywhere. Would you be so kind and lead me in the right direction to finding their music? I am a huge fan of Rosali Middleman and Geoff Bucknam makes me so happy whenever I see him playing live with Free Energy. I can’t even begin to imagine how great the two, combined, would sound.
If there is any way you can help a sister out, just email me at krista_lauren_writes@ymail.com
Thank you so much. May a smile never leave your lips.
