Curatorial Membership
Curatorial Membership is an open call to artists and curators to submit a proposal for a one month exhibition in our space. Review of proposals is on a monthly basis. The fee for curatorial membership is $300, which can be paid in monthly installments of $25. This fee shows your commitment to supporting little berlin as a venue for alternative exhibitions in Philadelphia.
In keeping with our goal of remaining an undefined exhibition space, no previous curatorial experience is required. We are looking for people with great ideas and the ability to successfully produce an exhibition. Once your proposal is accepted you will have free rein to execute your idea.
The members of little berlin will ensure the gallery is prepared for installation, provide available supporting equipment, and will offer guidance and assistance with press, gallery lists and other communications. All fees to produce an exhibition (including shipping, printing costs, material costs, insurance, etc) are the responsibility of a Curatorial Member, and the gallery must be returned to its original condition at the end of your exhibit.
